Ferro & Company porsche 356 watch collection
70 years ago, a legend was born and stole the soul of mankind; made driving delightful and stayed in our hearts for decades. 70 years later, we are still in love and cherish its beauty. And for this, we, at Ferro & Company want to treasure this historic automobile and share our love and enthusiasm by designing and creating a watch inspired by this iconic machine.

The Porsche 356 was first produced by Austrian company Porsche Konstruktionen GesmbH (1948–1949), and then by German company Dr. Ing. h. c. F. Porsche GmbH (1950–1965). It was Porsche's first production automobile.
The 356 is a lightweight and nimble-handling, rear-engine, rear-wheel drive, two-door available both in hardtop coupé and open configurations. Engineering innovations continued during the years of manufacture, contributing to its motorsports success and popularity. Production started in 1948 at Gmünd, Austria, where approximately 50 cars were built. In 1950 the factory relocated to Zuffenhausen, Germany, and general production of the 356 continued until April 1965, well after the replacement model
911 made its autumn 1963 debut. Of the 76,000 originally produced, approximately half survive.

The “356” watch collection is one of the top of the line watches offered by Ferro & Company. Limited to 200 pcs, the Swiss Made watches come with a hand-wound Swiss-made ETA 6498 calibre movement and are built with 43 mm polished high-grade stainless steel with a display back case showcasing the movement. The watches come with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating as well as perforated racing-style leather straps. Even though the watches are designed for drivers, they are water resistant to 50 meters.

The unique design and craftsmanship of the “356” collection are synonymous with the iconic car. The dual-layered complex dial resembles the tachometer while the polished case and bezel bear a resemblance to the chrome ring around the gauges.
